Help me please. After upgrading my iphone 3g to 3.1.2 i notice that my battery depletes super fast. for example last nite my iphone had full charge and 7 hours later when i wake up the battery was nearly flat.

I didn't use it at all. It was just on standby as i was sleeping!

Can anyone tell me what i should do. I also did a complete restore but i restored from my backup.

Anyone having the same problem?

I had that problem. To fix this, I tried different backups that I had. For some reason I had about 100 backups for my phone, some of them from the past month. I just kept right clicking on my phone in iTunes and selecting different backups to restore from until I found one that didn't drain my battery.

You can also restore your iPhone as a new phone and try that.
