iphone 3g battery replacement

Hey, I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I want to know if I replace my battery, will it not drain as quickly?

If the battery is old and past its best then yes, a new battery will perform much better.

how fast is it draining? what are you doing on the phone that makes it drain? I can think of at least 10 more questions as to why it is draining. so a little more info would help. but most always a new/fresh battery will last longer but you may be draining it with your activities.
