iPhone 3G Brand New Replacement, can I go to Apple store and exchange for 16GB???

HI all

Recieved a Brand New Sealed iPhone 3g 8GB replacement

My question is, as ive not opened it, its still got the plastic around it, can I go to an Apple store and exchange my 8gb for a 16gb and pay the differences in price, without a reciept as this is a replacement iPhone

Ive still got the Shipping box and reciept it came in

But I dont see why not, technically, cant I go to the Apple store and simply give it back so I get all my money back, and then simply come back later and buy a 16gb Model? (With a little more money of course)
 
Did you buy it at the Apple store? If you did, you can exchange it and pay the difference within 14 days. Lots of people have done it and yours is not opened so it should be fine.
 
I bought my original one back In October however this is a replacement sent to me Yesterday

Its still sealed so I wanted to basically exchange for 16gb and pay the difference, Im pretty sure he would allow it as its a year 2009, week 03 build.

They won't allow the trade then since the original was purchased so long ago.

What was the point in that? I simply asked a question and therfore would kindly like an answer

Your just a waste of forum space (delete words as necessary)
 
use your common sense. If the item is beyond the return policy return time you can't return it. Is that so hard.
 
dude its not going to happen why dont you listen to someone who was in your shoes and asked apple the same question. insted of hoping for a good answer from people that done know .. I am 100000% positive they will not do it. i had the EXACT same thing i was getting a replacement and asked if i paid the difference if i could get a 16g they would not allow it.
 
Not gonna happen. The return policy goes with the original phone, not the replacement (even though it is new).

I'm sorry, you cann't exchange it.
You can ask this to Apple official support center at 1-800-676-2775.
They will also say "sorry".
