Yes, I read that really long thread on cracks but I wanted a more recent answer. I have a 3G out of warranty with a super long dock connector crack. I want to pass it on to a friend and upgrade, but I was wondering my chances of getting it replaced although I have no applecare. Would it depend on which store I take it to? The phone is pristine except for this crack, which has seemed to grow without me noticing.. Thanks in advance.
