I was just wondering, when you buy an iPhone 3G (new), does it come with a dock in the box (they have what look like specific iPhone docks in the o2 store as they are shaped to fit the iPhone perfectly).

Also, what do you guys/girls think about this? Can anyone think of a way of fitting a dock connector to it or something?

The bottom of the stand is open. The hole in the back of the stand is for your dock cable to come through, and connect to the phone. I think this is what you want.

You won't be needing an iPhone 3G dock if you're gonna buy that Xstand, like what Daremo said, you can just simply attach the cable at the bottom of the iPhone while it is being held by the Xstand.

It's so ironic that most of the third party accessories for the iPhone include an adapter for the dock, but the iPhone itself when newly purchased doesn't come with a dock.
