So I updated my iPhone to 4.2.1 to find out it's an absolute nightmare. I managed to downgrade to 3.1.2, but I am stuck with the 5.15.04 baseband. I cannot find any unlocks that work with iOS 3.1.2, so does that mean I'll have to keep 4.2.1? I'd also REALLY like to avoid loosing my WiFi. Thank you!

Only option is to install the iPad bb now.

If you want to upgrade to Ipad baseband, you will have to update the phone to 4.1 or 4.2.1 because Redsn0w won't recognize 3.1.2. So, your option is to upgrade your phone to ipad baseband with current IOS and then downgrade it to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3.
