iPhone 3G Ex-jailbroken

Hey guys, I jail broke my iphone ages ago and when it was jailbroken i changed the carrier name and made it show the battery pacentage. And they were the only things that stayed there after i restored it. Now i would LOVE to have the normal carrier name. but id like to keep the battery pacentage.

Is there a way to do this?

Edit: just realized you aren't jailbroken. You can't because changing carrier name edits a string in English.lprog/SpringBoard.strings. It saved that string in the back up and you restored from it. That part doesnt require jailbreak so that's why you have the edited carrier name

So i cannot get it back? What if i restore it? like without backing it up? i would just have to somehow get my contacts back or re put them in?

okay so i jailbroke it today. is there anyway to get it back to normal name? will fakecarrier change it back to normal or?

Do a regular firmware restore (without jailbreaking) and "Set up as a new iPhone" instead of restoring from a backup.
