Iphone 3g exchanges time in PR?

I went to buy the new ear headphone to an ATT place in the end they didnt have it meanwhile i overheard a guy trying to exchange his iphone 3g for software and cracks on a white iphone they said there is only one month for exchange it was a 3g... Is that right? or is in Puerto Rico only?

You only have 30 days to return the phone to AT&T you should be able to get replacements under warranty from Apple for a year.

ok i hope my 3g dont get cracks
