Iphone 3G Firmware 2.1 unlock using a PC

I was reading through the posts here and dont see anything on how to Unlock an iphone 3g running on firmware 2.1 At&t contract with a PC. I dont want to downgrade to any previous firmwares. Quickpwn looks easy but can only be unlocked up to 2.02 right? My buddy has a Mac and said i can unlock it on his computer should i do that? Or better yet is there a way i can unlock it on my PC.

The 3G, as of right now, has not been unlocked by software. You can jailbreak, but that is all.
