Iphone 3g HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I know you guys have seen this plenty of times before. Ive been searching for about 3 hours now and i cant get it fixed

I have a iphone 3g, i used the "erase all content and setting" like i wanted, i went to restore it, nothing happened.

Held home and sleep till it went black, held home while plugging it into itunes, and it does nothing now.

what do i do?

never mind, i kep repeating the process i stated above and it finally worked.

Yep, its kinda tricky but after a bunch of times it finally goes into restore mode.
