Recently got into repairing iphones, So I was tinkering around changed a few parts and after I was done the home button wasn't responding, I do recall putting accidental pressure on the home button when opening the iphone with a screwdriver but I replaced the home button + wiring with a new one with the same problem..
It works with extreme force, The dock cable is in place, anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Temporary solution

I have the same problem since I opened mine

Press the button on the left side when your iPhone is facing you, that works better that in the middle and with much less force

You have resurrected a post from May 2011.

I would hope the OP had got this resolved by now.
