So im travelling to asia this summer and i want to bring my iphone 3g to listen to music and go on the internet. I live in Canada and my current carrier is Rogers. I dont plan on calling using this phone during the trip and even if i try it probably wont work. Still, should i take out the sim card? Im just afraid of possible large fees or charges.

Oh and will the 3G network work in Asia?

If roaming is on and the carrier that your phone joins has 3G network then you will pay ALOT of $$$$$ for using data internationally so I would recommend you just take your sim out or call Rogers and tell them to disable roaming if it is on.

thanks
I guess ill just take out the sim just to be safe. If i reinsert the sim card, do i have to call Rogers and go through some activation processes? Or will it just work?
