iphone 3g installed but apps icon disappear

i resync the phone with itunes....none of the apps installed on there...but i search for them individually in the finder then they are there...the apps shortcuts are hiding...how do i unhide them?

This is what worked for me: All my apps were installed, but not showing up, including my camera. I went to Settings > General > Home. Select Camera. Back out to desktop. Hit Home button. Voila!
