I have a iPhone 3G that was given to me. It has ios 4.2.1 on it as well as baseband 6.15.00. I tried restoring it and iTunes gave me an error and now it's stuck in recovery mode. I can't get it out of recovery and I cant put it into dfu mode because the lock button is broke. Is there any way I can get it working? I'm NOT WORRIED ABOUT A JAILBREAK OR UNLOCK. I just want it up and running. Thanks in advance.

I think you can use redsn0w to enter DFU mode without using iPhone buttons...
