iPhone 3G / iPod Touch 2G Comparison

Hi,

I'm from Portugal and I'm thinking about getting an iPhone 3G!
I'm a student and my main uses for the iPhone, besides calls and text messages, will be music, video and games (but mainly gaming).
The new iPod Touch just arrived here and it's a lot cheaper than the previous versions (the new 32GB iPod Touch costs the same as the old 16GB one)!
Since my main uses drain the battery pretty quickly, I was wondering which device would last longer...
I've tried searching for battery life comparisons between iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G but haven't found any so, if you could help me, that would be great!

Exact same battery life between the two.

Most people don't realize this as features such as 3G browsing/calling takes a wicked amount of battery. But if you use the iPhone for the same things you would on the touch, you won't see any difference in battery life.

That's why there's no comparisons.

it actually looks like the new iPod touch has more space for the battery,that's why it has a longer lasting one than the iPhone 3G, the Apple site also states you get 36 hours of music with it,while 24 with both old iPod touches and iPhones
