Iphone 3g is hot and wont turn on

this is my first post so here goes....

Phone: IPhone 3G
IOS: 4.2.1

so today my phone worked fine then tonight the battery was around 79%, i checked one last time then i locked it.. then 30 mins later.. its a black screen,hot, and wont turn on. WHATS THE PROBLEM!!? thts my question, is it fixable?, is it broken? FWI *My power button does NOT work) thx an advance.

PS. i used sbsettings to lock my phone.

You's better to ask the phone sevrice center what you bought.

last night i let the battery drain so this morning i plugged it into the wall charger and it turned on so problem [SOLVED] thx Tho.

Did this happen one time or has this happen multiple times in the past?

It can happen from time to time that an iphone locks up (not every month but I've seen it on the original iPhone, 3GS and 4S). If it has locked up it can get warm because the power management is not working any more.

iphone 4S won't turn on!!

I just got the screen replaced on my iphone 4s, then a couple days later, the phones working fine, but I take it out of my pocket and it wont turn on!
i left it over night to charge and tried holding power and home button but nothing is workinG!
