iPhone 3G, JB & Unlock help needed for dummy

I've got the latest PwnageTool 4.1 and the latest redsn0w.

I upgraded to iOS4 clean. The phone has yet to be JB or Unlocked.

I ripped the .ipsw file using PwnageTool and am now stuck as to what needs to be done.

Redsn0w doesn't seem to think this .ipsw file is valid.

Any help is appreciated.

Once the Custom Restore IPSW is made, use iTunes to install it. Get a tutorial from iClarified.

You can't jailbreak an already jailbroken IPSW.
