The cheapest rate is as follows : 8Gb iPhone €295, Monthly fee €40, Talk time 60 min. to any network per month, Data 600Mb per month, free weekend Vodafone calls. Prepaid is also available for €515 (8Gb). Queues for iPhone registration could be seen at all Vodafone outlets during the day yesterday. The registration and activation process (in-store) took about 45 min. See www.vodafone.com.mt

Thanks for the info. But wait, Malta, that island nation has only enough room to like hold 5 people. Why use cell phones there when shouting is free and leaves 0 carbon footprint? :-D j/k (please don't hate me for my snarky comment :-( )

And Vatican City is in Europe but not part of the European Union (EU).

I wonder how sales will be in Malta for the iPhone. My family is still living there in Sliema. I used to live in Gzira from, 1980 to 1993. My sister who lives there wants one of these phones, hopefully she won't spend her money she's been saving for a plan ticket to the U.S on an iPhone.

Off - Topic: Why are flights so damn expensive from Malta to Atlanta, GA???
