iPhone 3g Longer Microphone Cable?

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a longer microphone cable for my iphone. Basically what I want to do is have my iphone in my center console with a wire coming from the audio jack into my trucks aux in jack (this wire would have an included microphone, something similar to this. However, I want my microphone to be wired under the drivers seat up the A pillar to my upper left while I'm driving. So, I would need an extra long version of the above wire (6 ft). Any ideas? Thanks!

Hmm I think your best bet would be just getting a bluetooth headset. Much more convenient. Look into the Aliph Jawbone 2 or Apple bluetooth headset.

Yeah you're probably right. Shouldn't I be able to just connect the phone to my trucks AUX in port from the iphones headphone jack and take calls that way? Using the iPhone's built in microphone? When I tested this the person I was talking to couldn't hear a word I was saying. I then tested it myself and it's true, not a word. Ay ideas there?
