Hey,

Last couple of weeks the signal on my phone has been acting up. I get no bars in places where previously I had good service. I am on O2, however my father uses Vodaphone on an unlocked iphone and is having similar problems.

Both our phones are updated with the latest firmware and we have both reset and restored them to try and resolve the problem.

It seems that when our phones are in standby or sleep (black screen) on our desks they just have no signal so we can't recieve calls or messages. Interestingly I still get full data connectivity, so I can check my emails via 3G or E but I can't make calls!!

My dad decided to turn 3G off on his phone and it seems to have solved his problem, I don't want to turn 3G off has frankly I am paying for this feature so why should I bother.

Any insight would be helpful, but I know I am going to have make a trip to a Genius Bar and get my 4th replacement iphone in 12 months!
