I know someone who's coming on a trip here to Canada from Australia, and want's to use his iPhone 3G. Right now, in Australia, he's on 3, with an iPhone 3G, and when he comes here, I'm putting him on TELUS. I just need to know if the iPhone sold at TELUS is the same one as the one sold in Australia, meaning that their both compatible on the same 3G bands. I know I'm going to have to unlock and stuff, but that's not a problem.

It's the same. All the iPhone 3Gs have the same chips.
