Hi all,
My iPhone 3G is stuck on the screen that says "No SIM card installed - Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iPhone."
I cannot turn off the device in any way or put it into DFU mode as holding the power+home buttons does not work. No "slide to power off" button comes up after holding down the power button.
Before this it was stuck in a loop of the apple symbol in the middle of the screen.

I have a Telstra SIM card in the phone (Australian) but the iPhone does not recognise this. iPhone was bought 6 months ago used, jailbroken and unlocked but I have changed my carrier and SIM to Telstra. I have realised it was stupid of me to press the "erase all settings" button, but I am completely stuck with this. I would like to jailbreak and unlock it to be able to put this new SIM in, but I don't know how to do this. I have downloaded tinyumbrella but it doesn't seem to work, neither does recboot (i've updated JAVA).

Thanks
Marcus
