iphone 3g no sim card installed????

I'm in europe right now, been using my phone fine (here and in the USA)

but now, randomly, it just told me no sim card installed

i turned it off and back on, still no go...

any ideas?

Try re-seating the sim card?

Or you could try: Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

Good luck, perhaps it is something peculiar to your particular location?

Did you try removing and re-inserting the sim card? (I edited my post at about the same time as you were posting).
