Recently purchased a white iPhone, and have been playing with it extensively. Really enjoying it, though there are definitely a few quirks (weaker 3G connection - I'm in the Netherlands).
One of the quirks seems to be that iTunes refuses to make backups when I connect my phone. For example, I performed a system restore to get the 5A347 firmware. There was no reactivation necessary (I guess this is normal?), I set it to sync manually, move over some songs, etc. Unplug, plug it back in, and check in the iTunes Preferences -> Sync, and the field for exisiting backups is empty. It's iTunes 7.7, I can sync applications from the App Store over (Shazam), but backups are never created. Any advice? Would be nice to create a backup for things like text messages, call logs, etc.
Thanks
