iPhone 3G plays some mp4 files but not others?

Instead of syncing my iPhone to iTunes I like to download mp4 files straight to my phone using a download app. But only some mp4 files work and the other just open then exit, I download these videos from mobile sites so I do not know how they don't work. I need help

Bitrate Audio kbps       |15       |0        |0        |0        |0

Non Working MP4 Files


Bitrate Audio kbps        |38       |128      |

I'm assuming anything more than 15kbps gives my phone this problem

I think I may have found the problem by comparing multiple mp4 files that do work and don't work
