i'm planning on purchasing the iPhone 3G. but i recently read the information on what was needed in order to purchase it and some of the things that stood out to me were "credit card" and "credit check". well, i don't have a credit card and my credit is kinda messed up. will these 2 things affect my chances on getting the iPhone 3G?

can somebody help me figure this out.

i'd appreciate it.

If you don't have an account with AT&T (i assume you don't) then you will probably need to have a deposit on your account. You can pay with the iPhone using a debit card, but like i said, you will probably need to have a deposit.

You also need to be 18+ as well.

Go into your AT&T store and have them do a credit check for you to give you the exact details.

OK.

But how much would the deposit be?

Would that depend on my credit check or is it the same for everybody?

It will only be $500 if you have no credit history. If you have some kind of credit history your deposit will be much lower.

Just go to the ATT store now and do all the processing work and find out.

Do a current AT&T customer needs a credit check if they are upgrade from frist gen iphone to a 3G iphone?
