My speaker is not working very well. So rang the apple store to
find out how much a repair would cost.

The lady on the phone told me if it's un repair able they would
sell me a new iPhone for £130.

My question is how broke does my phone have to be to get this
£130 new phone. An also the phone they give me will if be a
brand new one.

The phone you will receive in return will be a refub, but the iPhone I received was in perfect condition.

I would not recommend breaking your phone more just to get the replacement - they can tell if it's been water damaged etc.

The replacements are refurbs, but as stridemat said, they are good condition.

Ok thanks

I won't be breaking it more. Just hoping they do offer me the refurb as i've had this phone 2 years now.

Fingers crossed

Your phone must be reaching the end of its contract soon? If it has not already. Have you thought about investing the new iPhone when it is released next month, instead of paying the £130 for an old model?

Yes this is my problem. Am out of contract now. I don't want to sign for a new one untill they release the new phone.

But can't live much longer with this phone as when it rings I can't hear it. The speaker is that low.

Rumors seem to indicate that a new iPhone could come out early in June. If you can wait then I would, but I can understand your predicament.

If they do offer me the refurb for £130 will it have a warrenty with it as that would help for resale value once the new one does come out?

Thanks
