Iphone 3g: Replaced screen now earpiece volume is low

Hey,

So like the title says I recently replaced my 3G's screen + digitizer and my earpiece volume is low to the point where the other person sounds very faint making them hard to hear.

I've tried re-connecting ribbons 1, 2 & 3 hoping that a lose connection was causing the issue but it hasn't helped.

Any advice?

I have a 3gs phone and I am having the same problem. Apparently is ribbon 3 that controls the earpiece but I have tried reconnecting it a dozen times without success....still having low volume.....would love a solution, I am taking to putting it on speakerphone as the earpiece volume is almost useless....
