iPhone 3G replacement?

If I brought my "abused" iPhone 3G to an apple store would they give me the offer to replace it for $200 with a refurb/recond. one? It's out of warranty, and I have taken it apart to replace the screen.

(I'm new to owning anything apple, and I got my phone from a friend so I've never been in an apple store/dealt with apple)

Yes, If you pay $200 they take yours and hand you another.
