Hello! Long time lurker so I think this might be my first post!

Need some help guys, as I am a little worried... Let me explain!

Basically, I lost my 8GB iPhone 3G while I was playing in the snow, lost, gone, no where to be seen! So, next day I reported it lost with the police, they gave me a reference number that I used when I phoned up my contents insurance company...

They checked The Carphone Warehouse website and saw for a Pay and Go one was £340 (or something like that). They have just sent me a cheque for £240 (had to pay £100 excess)...

Anyway, the main question is, my sister knows someone who works for a phone shop. It's an independent phone shop (so not o2, phones4u etc...). He said he could get me a brand new iPhone 3G for £250.

Im a little concerned because to my knowledge, I thought that only o2, the apple store and Carphone Warehouse could sell these phones. Is that correct?

How on earth is he getting iPhones?! Help!

Thanks guys (and gals)

Go the proper route dude, you don't want to be handing over 240quid to someone who *might* be able to get you a phone.

The only OFFICIAL routes to get an iPhone are Apple, O2 and CPW.
