So I was at a genius bar today to replace my headphones, and I asked if one dead pixel and dust under the screen is considered a valid excuse for a replacement phone (just out of curiosity, I bought the phone a year ago).

He said yes and asked if I wanted it swapped out, I declined and said it wasnt a big deal at this time but I may want to in the future.

Should I have swapped it out instead of waiting another 6 months? (I have the extra year of apple care, so warranty isnt an issue). But I'm worried they are no longer going to have replacement stocks of white iPhone 3G's.

So basically my question is: Will they continue to have replacement iPhone 3G (NOT 3GS) for another year or so?

Thanks
