iPhone 3G "Restore In Progress" Taking Hours?

WTF ... is anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a suggestion for a fix?

I have more than a few applications, around 50 I think (my total "Other" data on my iPhone was around 850 mb before "the crash").

But should iTunes be taking this long to restore my iPhone from a backup? It seems to be stuck about about 95% for the last hour? HELP!
