iPhone 3G S Oleophobic Screen

Does anyone know if you need to/should use a screen protector on the oleophobic screen of the iPhone 3G S? A big reason that I use one is to cut down on smudges/fingerprints, but then obviously there is the concern about scratches as well. But I wonder if using a screen protector will harm the screen in some way. What do you all think?

You can use a screen protector on it, no problem. You just won't benefit from the finger-print deflection stuff.
