Hi
I have a few common issues with my iPhone, such as the "15Khz tone" and a slightly yellow screen. I remember when i got me iPhone 3G last year that the build of 2.0 that came on my new iPhone was a couple behind the ipsw file on the Apple servers for restoring. Some people at the time reported the newer build lessened the yellow of the screen some users were reporting. Just as a process of elimination, i tried restoring my new iPhone 3G S with the ipsw file from the Apple Servers. Unfortunately it has made no difference to the screen temperature or the tone, but was worth a shot...
...However, since the restore, my iPhone doesn't feel as nippy or smooth as it did out of the box last Friday. Has anyone else restored their new iPhone 3G S and noticed anything similar? Does anybody know of any reason why the OS from restore wouldn't be as fast as the OS put on the phone in the manufacturing process?
Cheers
James
