Hi!

So I know that lots of posts have been made about using the iPhone on the AT&T prepaid plan. However most of those posts do not get to the core issue.

Question 1: Can I still get a PayAsYouGo plan and use it with an iPhone 3G S that has not been jailbroken and/or unlocked? I have read that ATT has changed some stuff so I just want to know if anyone has tried this recently.

If I have to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone I will just go with tmobile. BUT if I can buy an iPhone 3G S and use it on the PayAsYouGo plan without jailbreaking/unlocking then I will go with ATT.

Question 2: If the above does still work how do I go about getting the plan? Do I need to buy the SIM card off of eBay and call ATT and activate it? I have hear that they won't activate the SIMs any more without an IMEI (is that right I can't remember) number from a phone though.

Basically, can I use an iPhone 3G S (notice the S) with a ATT PayAsYouGo plan and if so how do I go about doing that?

Thanks for the help everyone!
