OK, so I've been having intermittent 3G connectivity problems with my iPhone. I had Apple replace the phone, and that fixed them for exactly 3 weeks (about the same amount of time my original iPhone had issues). I simply do not get why the 3G radio in 2 iPhones has had issues after 3 weeks. Once the issues start, the problem gets worse and worse.
So, today I notice the phone says "NO SERVICE", but yet I called myself from my work blackberry and my phone still rang and I answered the call and it was clear as can be. I sent myself a text message, and it went through just fine, even though the phone says NO SERVICE.
Shortly after that, it switched to EDGE. Now it's back on 3g. I'm not quite sure what the deal is. I tried the 2.0.2 update, and it didn't fix these issues. Also, it should be known I have an AT&T tower on the roof of my building. Could this tower actually be causing issues due to the close proximity? There is only 1 floor seperating me and the AT&T cell tower. I'm not sure if it's a 3G tower or an EDGE (or do they all do both now?).
So, who the heck knows, I sure hope they fix it, as I hate to loose calls or texts from my friends.
