So, I know i did a stupid thing....

I had and old iphone 3g, that i did not use, and decided to give it to my friend. I decided I should do a factory reset on it to erase all my personal data that was still on it. Now I should have researched more.... It was jailbroken, hence it is now stuck on an infinite loop of apple logo.

After doing some research and reading the suggestions I found online, I did everything that was suggested. The problem is that my mac ( tried it on a pc, different cables, different usb ports) doesn't even recognise it, nothing appears when I plug it in, but it charges. I tried different softwares as well, but none were able to recognise it. Did try the DFU method many times, following all the instructions but it still wasn't recognised. iReb, pwngtool, tiny umbrella, redsnow, non of them reacted to my phone. Before the HUGE mistake ( of factory reseting) everything was working fine. One suggestion I found that it may be that the plug is broken, the contacts that charge the phone are working but the ones that comunicate with a computer are damaged, so it migth be that it got some moisture or something while it was just standing without being used.

Even tried to open up the iphone, unplugging the main board from the battery, but all my efforts seem to be useless.

I am a fan of fixing everything my self, hence I am here asking for any advice that you guys may have. If all hope is lost and I can't find any cure for the problem I will try taking it to apple store to see what they have to say.

Thanks in advance for your help.
