I currently have a problem with my jailbroken iPhone 3G with 4.0 firmware after I chose to "reset all data." The phone is stuck a black screen with the apple logo on it and will not turn off after holding the home and sleep button nor will iTunes recognize it. I haven't been able to get past the apple logo and all it does when I hold the home + sleep button is the screen will turn black but if I press the sleep button, the apple logo will appear again and will not get past it. I need to be able to restore this back to previous factory settings.

I've tried multiple things such as:

-Attempting to force into DFU mode by holding the power and sleep/wake button for 10 seconds then releasing the sleep/wake button when the screen of my phone goes black. iTunes doesn't notice the phone so I am unable to restore using iTunes.
-I have tried to enter recovery mode with iLiberty but the program also doesn't recognize my phone so nothing happens.
-I have tried forcing to DFU mode using https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/6087352/. However, the prompt says that there is no error and nothing happens. No white flash.

Hope you all can help, thanks!
