Iphone 3g stuck with a black screen

Hey guys. I need help with one of my friends iPhone 3g. its stuck in a black screen and doesn't show anything. i dont know the firmware or base-band of this device. If i boot it in dfu mode itunes detects the device and i tried to restore. But it gives 1601 error even with the official restore. Made a custom firmware with snowbreeze and pawend in dfu mode with ireb. then it gives 2005 error. What should i do next? Any idea will be very helpful. Thanx in advance.

Sounds like water damage or something.. try getting the screen replaced. or At least get it looked at, at a service center. Jailbreaking it won't do a thing.
