iPhone 3G unlocked but 'no service'

Hi guys,

I have officially unlocked my iPhone 3G from O2. I have connected it to itunes and have gotten the your iphone is unlocked screen. All seems good so far. I then put in an orange sim and it says no service where the signal indicator would be. hmm. I figured id done all the steps needed.

Any help on this would be great. cheers

ive done a restore and its now uploading all my music etc.

It says waiting for activation. This may take some time. And No Service.

Hmm what to do?

Is it a new Orange SIM? As Orange is now an official carrier, it probably wants to do the official activation thing with the SIM, through iTunes.
