iPhone 3G Wifi Problem

I gotta iPhone 3G for a friend off of Craigslist the other day. It's in pretty decent shape. It has the normal wear and tear, but nothing too bad. The only problem is the Wifi doesn't work. You can turn it on, but it won't ever actually find a Wifi signal. I wiped it completely using 4.1 and 3.1.3. Neither one fixed the problem.

So is it pretty much a bad Wifi card, or could it be something else?

Probably a bad wifi card. Try resetting the network settings. It might or might not work.
