iphone 3G won't restore from backup "not compatible"

Hi, my phone was slowing down a bit so I forced it to reboot.. But then it got stuck on the silver apple logo and would not reboot again, so I was forced to do a restore, the computer that had the backup did not have Internet connection (I use my blackjack to tethere it to use the interweb, but I could not use it since I needed the sim too activate my iPhone after it did the restore) soo I simply took my phone and activated it to another comp.. Named it and took it back to the comp with the back up.. Right clicked on phone and clicked "restore from back up" I chose the back up but it says "corrupted or not compatible" is there anything I can do?? I need my phone numbers and pics if possible thanks
