IPhone 3GS 16GB White Version and unlock instructions.

Please help me finding the version and the firmware # for my 3GS 16GB White phone. I bought this phone from USA to India. While working on the ITunes some how the mobile got updated to the latest IOS. Now I cant do anything on my phone and its asking me to insert AT& T SIM and activate but I need to unlock this to use it Indian network. Pls do help what was the version # for this Model...I searched in online seems on white 16GB these are the serial #
MB716 and MB736 but couldn't find the right version or base band...pls help me ...

There is pretty much nothing you can do.
