Iphone 3gs 3.1 to 3.1.2

Hi I have a 3GS with old bootrom 3.1 jailbroken (i don't know which tool. i bought it jailbroken)

I want to upgrade to 3.1.2 but it seem I can't do it either using itunes shift-upgrade or shift-restore. I have pointed gs.apple.com to saurik's server.

Can anyone help pls?

Just to share what I did. I didn't have any SHSH and my baseband was 05.11 so the only thing I could do with to use custom firmware 3.1.2
And that was what I did. then unlock using blacksn0w. Everything works fine so far.

although the battery life still sucks diarrhoea.

turn off wifi, 3g, everything that you dont use like push notification. adjust light too. then you will have much better battery
