right i have an iphone 3gs with white screen iv tryed home+powere tryed master reset and restore still no joy iv been told maybe lcd or main board.my question is would it take phone calls and would itunes recognize it if mother board was gone or could it just be lcd cheers pad??? NEED HELP PLZ

I would take it into Apple and get them to look at it for you. If need be, they'll swap it out for you.
