Iphone 3gs 5.1 to 5.1.1

Hi everyone,

Finally a untethered jb is here! Right need some advice prior to attempting the update.

I have a iphone 3gs on 5.1 tethered with bb 6.15.00 for unlock. I understand from reading other threads regarding the release of 5.1.1 jb that u have to restore and do a clean update to 5.1.1 fw, unless ur ready on it...

But what is the process for me since i'm on 5.1 tethered with bb 6.15.00, surely i cant just do a clean update, shall i go ahead and create a custom 5.1.1 fw and den download rocky racoon untethered from cydia?

Any suggestions or advice appreciated. Many thanks

I am having problems with getting service, I have installed Ultrasn0w & the ultrasn0w 5.1.1 fixer - but searches and then goes to 'no service'.

Any advice, much appreciated.

I am now running 5.1.1 unthetered with 6.15 bb unlock on both my 3gs
