iPhone 3gs and Bmw connector

Hello all

I have a Bmw 5 series that has the iPod connector. When I plug in my 3gs I get a popup saying this assesory isn't compatilbe or something like that. However the music plays over car sterio just fine.

Is this normal to get the error popups whe. Plugging in?

Yes, it is normal. I get the same message when I plug in my iTrip to my iPhone. I would assume this is because of the cell phone reception can sometimes cause interference.

I assume u are referring to the 1/8 inch Jack to plug an audio source into in the BMW?

I have an x3 and have had no issues.

No he is talking about an actually dock connector. You will never get this error message with the audio jack.
