iPhone 3gs backlight problem.

Alright so this is how it started.
i had a smashed digitizer so i ordered one of ebay replaced mine & ended up breaking the lcd in my phone so i ordered one of them it came today i put it in & now the screen's really dark so im guessing there's something wrong with the backlight. When i turn it on the backlight comes on for about 2-5 seconds than turns off & the screens all dark.
what do i do someone please help me ?

I'm having the same exact problem. The iPhone has not had water damage but I had to replace the LCD after I broke it in removing the digitizer. The backlight only comes on for a few seconds and then it goes off. I hope someone knows what to do.
