Hi all,

I have a long ongoing issue with my iPhone and was wondering if I could get advice on how to get it fixed / repaired.

For sometime now, since the very beginning of the year, wasn't sure what caused it, begun to intermittently shut down without warning and if I'm lucky I'll be able to still turn it on and do some stuff. If not, I'll have to get near a charger / usb cable to be able to use it. At first, it can go on until about 80%-ish battery power and will soon shut down. Now, even at 100% it could shut down within minutes of using it away from the charger! (Interestingly, I could listen to music for hours and it wouldn't shut down at all)

Unfortunately, I'm out of warranty. I took it to Apple, they advised me to restore my iPhone, reinstall the software, and do not restore any settings, apps, anything. Even then, it still dies.
I went to another city the other day for holiday and took it to a repair shop nearby and they claimed they put in a new battery, tested it and it still dies. What's worse, when I got it back from them, the iPhone now often lost its signal completely and it's very hard to use it for calls / messages now.

What should I do? Help?
