are there any reputable 3rd party battery replacement with more juice? ive seen these 1600mah but im not sure if i can trust it. they are listed for $6.

I bought one last year. Exactly one of those for 6$. It worked just fine. Much better than the dying original one, at least! It lasted for about an year. So, I have to replace a battery for 6$, once a year. I think it is a pretty good deal to make.
Go for it, though I highly doubt these Chinese eBay batteries genuinely have as much capacity as they claim.
I have one in my original 2G and, while it's better than the dying original battery, doesn't last anywhere near as long as my 2G did when it was brand new. But you can't beat the price..
